An Early Morning Pre-Wedding Session
There is something special about Pitt Lake at 5:00 AM. It’s quiet, the air is cool, and the mountains look like a painting.
For this pre-wedding session, my clients and I decided to wake up extra early to beat the crowds. We wanted the lake all to ourselves, and it was totally worth the early alarm clock!
The Best Morning View
The light at sunrise is so soft and golden—it’s the perfect glow for couple portraits. Because we got there so early, we didn't have to worry about other people in the background of the photos. It felt like we were the only people in the world.
We took a slow walk along the the trails. The water was like a mirror, reflecting the mountains perfectly. As a photographer, these are the moments I live for—where the location and the love story just click together.
Making a Day of It
Pitt Lake is such a popular spot for a reason, but it’s even better when you have it all to yourself. After we finished the shoot, we were all wide awake and ready for some breakfast!
If you are planning a session here, I always recommend the early morning. It’s a bit of a hike to get out of bed, but the photos you get in return are timeless.
Let’s Plan Your Story
